Nautilus Minerals’ exploration work  is focused on copper and gold rich seafloor massive sulphide discoveries in the Southwest Pacific where Nautilus  holds a package of prospective exploration tenements (granted and under application).

In 2011, Tonga Offshore Mining Limited (TOML), a subsidiary of Nautilus Minerals, was granted approximately 75,000 km2 in the highly prospective Clarion Clipperton Zone (CCZ), in international waters in the Central Pacific, to the south of Hawaii and west of Mexico. The Area contains  a significant inferred resource of  nickel, copper, cobalt and manganese polymetallic nodules.

To date, the Company has conducted exploration work over its tenements in Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Solomon Islands and the CCZ to understand the potential resource and build a pipeline of commercially viable projects.
