In December 2007 Nautilus and Teck Cominco agreed that Teck Cominco may utilise the US$12 million option payment to conduct and manage a ship-based exploration program in 2008. Teck Cominco proposes to conduct the ship-based exploration program in one or more of four designated areas in Papua New Guinea, Tonga and New Zealand. Teck Cominco has assembled an exploration team in Brisbane dedicated to Nautilus.
